   My best friend, a chocolate Lab named Behlin just turned 16 and is having issues, rear weak legs, loss of control of his bowels, murky leaky eyes, mucus, lethargic, lots of sleeping, hard to get up and stopped going out for walks. I was lost and in a very heavy state of sadness. I thought it was the end. I even dug a grave for him as I did not understand how he could come out of this. I have had 3 Labs that lived to 18 and died of old age, I have never seen these effects in any of my dogs. I was devastated and struggling with acceptance of this being the end. I have been trying the CBD with MCT oil and not seeing any results until after two weeks when all of a sudden he could walk again slowly, he wanted to go down to the beach again and he was improving. We are now about 6 weeks in and his symptoms have either gone away or reduced so much that he is able to walk/run down to the beach and smile again. He is not 100% but I do have my boy back where his eyes and smile light up when he looks at me. He steers me to the door to go out and play. It has been nothing less than amazing. I have had dogs for 65 years and each and every one of them has been my best friend. I can now take the time to move into acceptance that his time is narrowing down as is mine and I spend most of my day playing with him and walking along the beach and woods.  Our Westie Fergus who turned 15 has been the healthiest of healthy dogs his whole life but in the past 4 months he has struggled with a fungal ear infection and then a possible systemic infection which required oral antibiotics and ear drops. He rebounded quite nicely for a week or so but unfortunately has once again lost his appetite, so we are trying again with the antibiotics. However, we are not seeing great response after 2 days. This week he was very restless – pain (?) nausea (?) unknown. I remembered the treats so decided to give him one! He inhaled it and was looking for more. The result was within the hour – he was calm and resting comfortably! Gave him one again yesterday and again today.   Cashew is a rescue and has a lot of anxiety issues. Tonight was our best walk in the 2 months I’ve had him.  The oil is working wonders with both my cats Olivia and Luna! Olivia seems more energetic and keeps herself busy playing with toys now, where as before she was uninterested. Luna is super relaxed and actually lets me pick her up without wanting down immediately! She also isn’t as much of a menace with the other cats.   Our family dog, Stanley, has had ongoing medical issues since he was a puppy. He suffers from severe skin allergies, a severe dry eye condition, chronic ear infections and most recently been diagnosed with a luxating patella. We have been using Serenity Bow Wow’s treats to help with general discomfort for all his general ailments prior to the luxating patella with a great deal of success (once finding the right dose for him, 1.5 treats every 4-6 hours depending on discomfort). What really came as a pleasant surprise was when our vet recently endorsed the use of CBD to help Stanley with the luxating patella discomfort.  These treats are awesome! I've tried oils but my girl would refuse to eat if I put the CBD oil in. They help relax her enough that we have been able to work on her reactivity issues (with a trainer of course!). And as a bonus, they help with any pain she might have with her bad knee.
